At the November 21st Central Citrus Rotary Club meeting, we had a visitor from
the United Kingdom. Toni Potterton is in Florida visiting for about a month.
Toni is a member of the Rotary Club of Boscombe and Southbourne chartered on
November 22, 1946. She is new to Rotary and looking for ideas to take back to
her club. Toni Potterton is in the picture below with
Cluvb President John Ceparano and John Clardy.
District Governor Becky Bennett was at the October 3, 2035 Rotary Club Meeting
in the Los Magueyes Restaurant in Beverly Hills. She is visiting all clubs
in District 6950. She gave a talk about the club, what she was trying to do this
year and some of her own experiences in Rotary. Club President John Ceparano
shared his Rotary moment. Some pictures of the meeting are shown below.
The first Peace Pole in Citrus County, Florida was installed in the area with the US Flag at Daystar Life Center in Crystal River. Peace Pole has a prayer for peace “May Peace Prevail On Earth” in 4 languages plus braille. A dedication ceremony will be held soon.
