Travis Anderson, head of the county Boys & Girls Clubs updated the Rotary Club
on how they are doing. He had great news about a grant they will be getting that
will allow them to double membership and make free to all members. Citrus County
has 3 clubs in Central Ridge, Homosassa & Inverness, President, Michael Busler
visited all 3 clubs as Santa Claus to meet with the children.

Citrus Springs Christmas Parade
Central Citrus Rotary Club had the feature float in the Citrus Springs Christmas Parade
again with our President, Michael Busler as Santa Claus on the float with Mrs Claus.
Santa Claus met with the Citrus Spring children after the parade to hear their wishes
for Christmas. Some pictures of the float and parade are below.

Visitor from Canada
At our September 5, 2018 club meeting Mark Dawber was a Rotary visitor from
Mississauga, Ontario. He presented us with a flag from his club, The Rotary Club of
Toronto-West Ontario, Canada. The flag exchange was completed by mailing him
our club flag. Mark is shown below presenting his club’s flag to President Mike.
Daystar Ground Breaking
The ground breaking for the Daystar new apartment building for the homeless
was on September 7, 2018. There was a large turnout from the county and Catholic
Charities including the Bishop of the Diocese of St Petersburg. Central Citrus Rotary
is the lead club for the Rotary District grant supported by all 6 County Clubs. The
grant will fund purchase of the furniture for the apartments. Club Rotarians attending
the ground breaking were President Michael Busler, Angela & Liz; Anthony Kopka
and Hazel & Roger Carlson. President Mike & Anthony are in some of the pictures
