President Mike Busler presented a check for $6,000 to Anthony Kopka for Daystar.
$5,000 was going to furniture for the the apartments for homeless & veterans.
Construction of the apartments has been delayed until some unknown future date.
This will help Daystar to be able to support their clients in 2019, Grants have become
more difficult to obtain for small charities like Citrus County Daystar.

New Club Member
A new club member Kristen Nippers was in installed at our February Social
at President Michael Busler’s home. Kristen is the Branch manager for the
Cadence Bank In Beverly Hills. AG Connie Lobel was there to do the
installation.

Boy Scouts of Citrus County
Jeremy Twachtman gave a great talk on Boy Scouts in Citrus County, Scout history
and how scouting has similar guidelines, policies & goals as Rotary. Boy Scouts
started in the United State in 1910 soon after Rotary started in 1905. Jeremy is the
District Executive for the Withlacoochee District that includes Citrus, Hernando &
Sumter Counties. Jeremy and President Mike Busler are in the picture below.
Boys & Girls Club News
Travis Anderson, head of the county Boys & Girls Clubs updated the Rotary Club
on how they are doing. He had great news about a grant they will be getting that
will allow them to double membership and make free to all members. Citrus County
has 3 clubs in Central Ridge, Homosassa & Inverness, President, Michael Busler
visited all 3 clubs as Santa Claus to meet with the children.
