2016 Dictionary Distribution to 3rd Graders

Rotary Club of Central Citrus County has distributed 375 dictionaries to the
3rd grade classes of Central Citrus Elementary, Citrus Springs Elementary
& Hernando Elementary. It is a wonderful experience to see how excited
the 3rd graders are when getting their own dictionary. All 6 Rotary clubs
in the county are involved with distributing dictionaries to the 3rd graders.
Club members involved this year were Vera Swade, Mike Busler, Hazel
Carlson & Roger Carlson. Below are some of the thank you notes from the
students. Click note to view better.

Katie Neely Co-Founder & Program Manager of Aspire gave an excellent
presentation updating the Club on Aspire – home of the River Project.
Her message to the Club was about “Healthy relationships create healthy
families which are the backbone of a healthy community”. She had the
the Aspire Mascot: Etch-a-Sketch with her to demonstrate it’s never too
late to shake it up and start with a new slate.
