Rotary Club Service Project

Several of the members of the Rotary Club of Central Citrus County met at the Annie
Johnson Senior & Family Service Center in West Dunnellon to plant flowers and mulch
areas. Everyone had a good time, worked hard and a sweated a little. The result looked
great as you can see from the pictures. Members brought food dishes to share after
completing the project including food for distribution to clients of the Annie Johnson
Senior & Family Service Center. We had some guests who admired our efforts especially
after Karen shared a treat with them( 4 donkeys). The pictures below show what can be
done with a small amount of money and some hard work for few hours on a Saturday
morning(4/26/2014) by a dedicated group of Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Central
Central Citrus County. See pictures below

Rotary Bike Ride for the Y

Registration is open for a wonderful opportunity for all bike riding enthusiasts
in Citrus County to participate in a great bicycle riding event to support our
local YMCA. There will be several different bike rides to choose from depending
on your desire, conditioning and skill level so, come out and have some fun. Activities
are planned for the riders and their family & friends. A great time should be enjoyed
by all who attend the bicycle event  in Hernando Park on the lake and ride the trails
in the eastern part of the county. The event is on May 10, 2014 with the first rides
starting at 7:30am. To participate as a rider log onto our website and register:
http://rotarybikeridefortheY.com  There is a small donation requested to help support
the Citrus County YMCA. Remember to register early before the bike rides fill out.
Children can participate with adult permission and supervision. The Rotary Bike
Ride for the Y is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Central Citrus County with

Rotary Foundation District 6950 Awards Dinner

Rotary Foundation District 6950 Recognition & Awards Dinner

On February 20, 2014 the Rotary Foundation District 6950 Recognition and
Awards Dinner was held in New Port Richey; hosted by District Governor
Roger Proffer, Past District Governor Jamie Mick & District Chair of the
Rotary Foundation PDG Carl Treleaven. The dinner was well attended with
ten Rotarians & guests from Citrus County at the dinner: Mike & Angela Busler,
Ken & Vera Swade, Hazel & Roger Carlson, Nancy Ayers, Paul Slosberg &
Ellen Mullenix and Pauliina Jasu , Exchange Student from Finland. The
keynote presentation was by John Smarge, past Rotary International Director
who made a great presentation on his past travels and activities with Rotary.
The MC was Gil McArthur.
